Just released on the Technology Strategy Board's website are the successful companies and organisations that have won a Technology Inspired Innovation Grant; either a Collaborative Research and Development (CRD) grant or the Feasibility grant.

From our region there have been a few companies that have been successful. These are Smith and Nephew Medical, Neotherix Ltd and Forsite Diagnostics Ltd. They are leading a CRD application and two Feasibility grants respectively.

The Feasibility grants of up to £25k will allow Forsite and Neotherix to explore novel research into products. The Collaborative Research and Development is about detecting and removing bacteria in wound treatment procedures using novel polymers and is significantly larger and more complex than the feasibility projects.

The TSB has released limited information about the CRD projects that can be seen here and a full list of successful organisations here.

We look forward to seeing the results of the feasibility projects as well as new wound treatment technologies from S&N.
