How can you plan for and manage your social media presence and activity to deliver maximum results for your business?

Social Media currently incorporates a number of aspects of customer engagement. LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter are already here with more platforms likely to emerge over the coming years, especially as mobile technology and 4G comes more on stream.

The workshop is suited to those new to the world of social media and for any owner or manager wanting to achieve a broad understanding of social media and how to optimize their use as a business asset.

Effective Management of Social Media in Business is an interactive business workshop aimed at owners and managers of SMEs. The workshops are designed to make a real difference to the way in which you run your business and include a lively mix of theory & practice and focuses strongly on interaction with your peers. There is also the option of one to one consultation with the facilitator.

The investment for all workshops is £30. Eligible Businesses (see criteria below) may attend four workshops free of charge. Numbers are restricted to twelve attendees per session so book early to avoid disappointment.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligible businesses are those SMEs located in York, North Yorkshire, West Yorkshire or the Humber and operating in the following sectors:

  • Construction
  • Logistics
  • Creative & Digital
  • Advanced Engineering & Materials
  • Food & Drink
  • Chemicals
  • Environmental Technologies
  • Healthcare Technologies
  • Sports
  • Financial & Business Services

To be classed as an SME your business must have:

  • Less than 250 employees
  • An annual turnover of less than £44m and/or a balance sheet total of less than £38m
  •  No single external individual or business in ownership of more than 25% of the capital or voting rights
